Oh geeze!

Holy crap, I haven't blogged in awhile! Haha! Sorry, guys!

Well, lets see.

As of now my list of places to visit has expanded exponentially. Haha. I'm sure that's a big surprise.
At first, I never really had much of an interest in going to Africa (with the exception of Egypt and Jordan). I think just the fact that Africa is fairly dangerous and there's always a risk of disease is what kept me away from the thought. However!!! I caught word of a community service trip to travel to Africa in December! And of course I looked into it. Haha. It's from December 9th to December 21st (something like that), and you get to help kids with addicted parents! Which is right up my alley. Hahaha. It's in Cape Verde! And I'm at the point where I don't much care if my parents say yes or no. lol. It's really just the money issue that's making me think twice about it. If I can get $1000 by June 30th, I think I can do it. (: I hope!! (Unfortunately that will mean no more tattoos for the time being. :/)

Also, I've been looking into moving over seas. You know me, I'm just obsessed with travel. Hahahahaha.

Hmm...Oh!!! Most important!! I got a post card from my love Heather!!! In Australia~ I was so excited!!
Look at all that writing! :D I'm so excited! I wrote her back immediately! And she just sent me a comment on facebook informing me that she received it and is writing back soon. :D :D :D

Oh gosh!!! This is the most recent news! So, next year me and some of my friends...
..Kara, me, Chloe, and Rachael are all living together next year! But, Rachael recently told us that she's moving to California after fall term to be with her (soon to be) husband. D: So we wouldn't be able to keep up the rent for a 4 bedroom house next year. BUT! Then comes the greatest news of all existence!! Our friend Zander (who lives right across from me in the dorms) decided that he wanted to stay here at Western for another year (he thought he was going to transfer) and asked us if we had room! HUZZAH!

We couldn't have lucked out better with him! He's clean, smells good, doesn't have a whole lot of stuff, and is practical with money and stuff. :D I'm so excited for next year!!!

Also, my friend drama from people back home has died off. Thank god. One of them just stopped talking to me after we had finally gone back to normal. Whatever, go ahead and be immature. I don't need negativity in my life like that. And my other friend and I made up and she understands that I don't agree with a lot of the things she does, and that we have differences and what-not. So we both got some things off our chests and now we're close again. (:

Oh, the drama of teenage girls. x.x

I love him!

So this last weekend I went home from school to visit my family and what-not. Because my mom-who normally lives in California- came up to visit us for a week or so. (Not sure how long she's staying. I'm back at school, so I may never know. lol). So while I was home, I of course, sat my brother down and forced him to watch Tangled and the new Harry Potter with me. (None of which he'd ever seen before. Shocker, I know!!)

In between movies, I was just talking to him about whatever when I mentioned that I might go down to Cali for the summer to take some summer classes and hang out with our mom. And then he said the cutest thing I think I've ever heard him say.

He looked over at me with this over dramatic sad/scared look (he's a theatre kid. He does this a lot. lol) and said "But Katria! Our hip cored only reaches from here to your college! It wont reach all the way down there!" I had no damn idea what he was talking about. So he explained that since we're attached at the hip-

Which we've always been. It's really odd actually. lol

-we have developed a cored that keeps us attached so we can stay connected whenever. And that it doesn't stretch that far.

It was so cute! So I told him that he could either come down with me, or we could get an extension cored. lol.

Keep in mind, my brother is a 15 year old teenage boy in high school who always plays video games and tries to get out of his chores as much as possible. But also keep in mind, that me and him have the closest sibling relationship probably in existence. It was just so adorable! And he always gets so sad every time I tell him I'm thinking of going on a long trip to another country.

WHICH BRINGS ME TO MY NEXT POINT.

Me and James might take our own sibling trip down to either Australia, Brazil, or New Zealand!!! <3 <3 <3
I love my brother. :3 I have the best one in the whole wide world~ <3

Mind. Blown.

Today in my philosophy class, I discovered that I'm a secret genius.

That's right. Me. Katria. I am a genius.

We were discussing how Plato or someone-or-another wrote that he was curious if everyone saw the same color. We all have the same word for pink, but what if what I see as pink is actually your green. But no one else would know, and you'd never know you were wrong, because that's what your eyes see and what your brain tells you is pink. It's the same color to both parties, but in our head, the color is different.
Does that make sense?

Whatever.

BUT!!

When I was younger! Like 7 or 8, I thought the same thing!! I always wondered if we all saw the same! And if animals saw the same as us or not!

I. AM. BRILLIANT.

I will be awaiting my Pulitzer or something. :D

I'm kidding about that last thing, and I know I'm not actually a genius. BUT! I did used to think the exact same way. Which I think is pretty cool. (:

That is all.

Peace, love, and follow the spiders. <3

Eff the world.

I just found something out today that I'm not happy about.
I hate the world because of this.

I understand that farmers are mad that wolves hunt their sheep, and that the sheep are their source of income. But that's life! Wolves need to eat, just like every other life form in the universe. I hate that it's alright now for people to hunt wolves. You want things to get back to normal in the forests and stuff?
Let the friggin circle of life happen.
Eff word.

Can you really be this close minded?

My friend Chloe (who shares many of the same views as I) came into my dorm room today to tell me about something she read.

A story about a mom who painted her sons nails neon pink- because he likes the color pink.
And it was a little time to bond with her young son.

Cue the sounds of closeminded douche-bags.

While painting your son nails is odd, if he enjoys it, who cares? And just assuming that he's going to be modeling dresses because he likes his nails painted (while he's a CHILD) is just rude! And even more- if he DOES model girls clothes when he's older- it's his decision!

I can't believe how ignorant and close minded people can get.

And if the little boy decides to be gay- let him. If he decides to become trans- let him! I guarantee that every single religion out there promotes love and acceptance of others.

Come on now!

If they can do it, why can't we?! I just don't understand why there's still so much hate between countries and religions and races and genders and everything else!
It's just so frustrating.
